DAY 78: 11 WEEKS

In honor of surviving 11 weeks on the internet and in the blogosphere, I think it only appropriate to recap how far The Good District, and myself, have come in the past two and a half months.

I set out with the great ambition to write a book in a year, and document the experience in a daily online journal. In order to do so, I started a blog(check), secured readership outside of myself, my mom, and the town of Clayton, N.C.(check), managed to write nine succinct paragraphs of next Great American novel(check), had crisis of faith(check), and survived said crisis without turning to the sauce like Hemingway(check).

In my personal life, have effectively quit my day job (check), have not lost weight, but have stopped weight gain from trending upward without resorting to crazy options like the gym (check), secured job working retail (check), and survived 19 weeks living with boyfriend (check).  Future looks bright indeed.

Of all of your accomplishments up to this point why am I most impressed that you have managed to live with your boyfriend for 19 weeks without breaking up? LOL How do people do it? I can barely sustain a relationship for more than 4 months before I start gettin' squirmy. Gotta work on that. :)

@Victoria: I take no credit. I am a nut, and he has the patience of a Buddha. When I am being good, I count my lucky stars for him.

I also bought Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. I have yet to read, but I assume that will help to explain the differences of the sexes, as I have come to learn we are truly different indeed! Thanks for being so supportive!
